When travelling across Europe and Scandinavia, there are two options to charge using a granny charger:
- If you already have a granny charger with a UK plug and a 10A max charge rate is workable, then your existing charger can be used in conjunction with an adaptor.
- If you don't already have a UK granny charger OR you would benefit from a 16A (20% faster) charge rate, then the unit below provides an ideal solution.
The 16A granny charger is fitted with a 230v 16A commando plug, which can be connected directly to the standard socket provided at camp sites and marinas across the UK, Europe and Scandinavia.
The illustration below shows the charger used in conjunction with a European adaptor. Adaptors are available with four different types of plug, to enable use across a wide range of sockets.
If a longer cable length is required, the charger can be used in conjunction with a heavy duty IEC60309 commando extension.
The charger is fitted with a IEC60309 commando plug, which is compatible with the matching socket commonly found at campsites and industrial premises.

Universal Schuko/French Adaptor The universal CEE 7/7 adaptor fits both Schuko and French types sockets and is the main adaptor required for the majority of Europe and Scandinavia.

- Programmable delay in charging starting (by pressing a button each time), in order to take advantage of cheaper overnight tariffs. Adjust up to 12hrs in 1hr intervals.

- 0.3m industrial specification H07RN-F rubber cable, specifically manufactured for harsh environments with high mechanical, chemical, water and UV resistance. Flexibility and performance is retained over a wide temperature range (-25 to 55°C).
