The DHY6000SE is one of the most popular sub 10kW standby diesel generators available on the market today. In contrast to the relatively short maximum run time of smaller inverter generators, this unit can run for up to 16 hours continuously.
What is Automatic Voltage Regulation?
The alternator is fitted with an AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) which prevents any major spikes in voltage that can harm sensitive equipment. The AVR alternator ensures the generator produces energy almost as clean as the national grid protecting your TV, laptop or other sensitive devices from harm whilst using generator power.
What does ATS compatible mean?
An Automatic Transfer Switch will sense a power cut, switch the supply to the generator and automatically start it. The generator has a socket to enable connection to a separate ATS.
What can I power?
The unit can provide a continuous power rating of 4500w (4.5kW) with a maximum peak output of 5200w (5.2kW) and can power sensitive electronic equipment such as TVs, computers and phones. See our generator advice page for a handy guide to calculating the power you need for your application.
How do I connect appliances?
- The unit has 1x 230v 32A, 1x 110v 16A and 1x 110v 32A CEE 60309 commando sockets 2x UK 13A socket.
- A 230v 32A to 16A adaptor is required to connect the generator to the standard 16A sized commando connector commonly used.
- A 230v 32A to 13A adaptor is required to convert the output to 2x 13A UK sockets.
