The HSE Event Safety Guide (HSG195) state that 'if used outside the hours of daylight, or in the absence of natural daylight, all parts of the venue to which audiences have access and all escape routes should be provided with emergency lighting.'
This versatile emergency bulkhead light is supplied with either a single 230v 16A IEC60309 commando plug, separate plug/socket or a combined plug/socket. Fitted with 2x cable tie bases on the back to enable it to be secured to marquee poles, stage lighting rigs etc.
Available with three operating modes:
- Maintained - Light remains illuminated when power is connected/disconnected.
- Non-maintained - Light is only illuminated when power is disconnected.
- Combined switchable - Switch selects between maintained and non-maintained.
In the event of a power failure, the light automatically turns on in a fraction of second, with 27x LEDs providing 160 lumens of bright white light for 3 hours, or until power is restored. The picture below shows the unit lighting a standard room, from a distance of 3.5m from the fireplace.
