When using a UK/European motorhome in America, Canada or anywhere else with a 110-125v mains supply, a step up transformer is required. The transformer converts the 120v supply to 230v.
The transformer is connected using either the American NEMA 30TT plug to IEC60309 16A 110v socket adaptor – Tough Leads which is the most common connection available at campsites, or the NEMA 5-15 to IEC 60309 110v 16A socket adaptor. The motorhome standard hook up cable plugs into the transformer.
